I'm here in Bremen, where I met Barbara on Thursday!
Since several days have passed, and especially since I do not have much time to write, here is a very brief description of Groningen and its surroundings.
Groningen
arrive in Groningen in the late afternoon, travel along the highway because of an accident and weird deviations. Let us now hotels / hostels / B & B that can accommodate, as arranged by good tourists we organized the trip on Saturday morning ... Besides me, there are Stewart, Sandro, C., Daniele and his girlfriend, Irene.
After verifying an address found on the internet (closed) thanks to the tourist spot (which closes after a minute) we find a series of addresses and then we 4 "unaccompanied" we can find a closet for 4 at a reasonable price.
The city is really nice and especially very much alive! So many people around, even in the evening till late! The pattern is always the Dutch, who had been in Amsterdam for the comparison is a must, bridges over the canals that are raised (though not ever see them at work), boat houses (boats that are real homes) and of course the famous coffee shop and also via the red light ...
The last two points above I am a bit 'more disappointing than the capital. I mean, the "goods" is the same, but everything is much less distinctive for those not directly affected ... The red light is off a lane exclusively with the girlie in the window (while you were in Amsterdam in front of the butcher ...) and coffee shops have a lot less atmosphere.
Beyond these points, however I said that I really liked the city. On Saturday night it was great fun, we are constantly moved from one room to another, being not more than 15-30 minutes in each place. This is a lot to see, either because they were all crowded at one point there was no air ... The lying thing was done even the locals, so it was not lack of habit ...
The quiet "after" the storm
After all the vitality of the Saturday afternoon and Saturday morning, the awakening was quite traumatic. All cities on Sundays are quieter, especially on Sunday morning, but the show that we found ourselves in front of Groningen was amazing. Completely closed (except for a couple of bars) and the streets completely empty, and so remained until about 14.00.
Not that at that time and changed something, but we just went away. The purpose of the trip at this point, it has become to see the North Sea!
The Sea North (Delfziji) and then I will be very short Winschoten
about ... a disappointment. Will that
Delfziji is also a major port, but the beach was sad, murky water and the shore was a stretch of algae ... all of us put a little 'sad and then after puccia feet and received the blessing by Daniel (see photo), we made a stop in a town called Winschoten who was on the way back. Here, too, desolation
incredible, no one around, just a couple of places open to eat and drink something. Time, then a lunch in a kind of fast food kebab-based course in which they put us half an hour to take us to eat (the face of the fast) and then off to home, where We waited a strenuante laundry to the laundromat ....
And that's all for now.
Tschus!
